Social media access tokens expire over time. When a token expires, PostRecycle can no longer publish to that channel and the Dashboard will show failures.
How to reconnect
- Go to Channels.
- Find the channel that needs reconnecting.
- Click the ⋯ menu on the channel card and select Reconnect.
- Follow the OAuth flow for that platform (same as the initial connection).
PostRecycle will update the stored token and publishing will resume at the next timeslot.
When to reconnect
- Facebook tokens generally last 60 days.
- LinkedIn tokens expire after 60 days of inactivity.
- Instagram tokens follow Facebook's expiry.
- X (Twitter) credentials do not expire.
If you see repeated failures on the Dashboard for a specific channel, try reconnecting it first.
