When a publish attempt fails, PostRecycle logs the error and shows a count of unresolved failures on the Dashboard (a red badge on the Failed tab).
How to see failures
Click the Failed tab on the Dashboard. Each entry shows:
- The post that failed
- The channel it failed on
- The error message from the platform
- The time it failed
Common causes of failures
- Token expired — the channel's access token is no longer valid. Reconnect the channel.
- Permission revoked — you removed PostRecycle's access on the social platform. Reconnect the channel.
- Content policy violation — the platform rejected the post due to its content. Review the post and the platform's guidelines.
- API rate limit — the platform temporarily rejected the request. PostRecycle will retry automatically.
Retrying a failed publish
Click the Retry button next to a failed entry. PostRecycle will attempt to publish the post again immediately. If it succeeds, the entry moves to the Published log. If it fails again, the error is updated.
