Priority posts

Marking a post as high priority moves it to the front of the publishing queue.

PostRecycle selects posts in this order:

  1. High-priority posts (in the order they appear in the category)
  2. Normal-priority posts (in the order they appear in the category)

This is useful when you have an urgent post — a flash sale, breaking news, a time-sensitive announcement — that you want to publish at the very next timeslot, ahead of the regular queue.

How to set priority

Open the post and tick the Priority checkbox, then save. The post immediately moves to the front.

After publishing

A high-priority post returns to normal rotation after it has been published. If you want it to publish once and disappear, also set an expiry date — or enable Expire after publish on its category.
